Responsibilities
Work as part of WSP’s UK iCRC Water team in Bengaluru.
Work on technical delivery of a range of projects relating to water/wastewater infrastructure and treatment process from Bengaluru office.
Assist Seniors in day to day liaison with our UK PMs and engineers to ensure project deliverables are developed in accordance with client scope, budget, timescales and quality requirements.
Assist in driving innovation and digital delivery culture to the next level.
Support the Sr. Engineer with resource and other management duties.
Assist in checks and reviews of projects, assuring quality delivery right first time.
Key Competencies / Skills
Good command of written and verbal English.
Candidate should have good and demonstrable technical understanding of standards and norms pertaining to UK Water Industry.
Problem solving and originality.
Computer literate, e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
Successful candidate will be a dynamic, self-motivated individual, focused on delivery to the client and technical excellence. The role requires management of several projects and becoming involved in design at an early stage. The ability to plan and design deliverables against UK engineering standards for each stage of a project is a pre-requisite and training and guidance will be provided where necessary.
Cultural awareness, conscientious and an open mind and excellent communication skills are essential requirements for the role.
High degree of self-motivation and ability to motivate others.
Ability to work under pressure and with minimum of supervision.
Accountable and see the big picture of the project to achieve the best result for the client
Careful and responsible. Understand the concept of working in a team.
Willingness to travel to the UK for short term assignments and training.
Strong attention to details and ability to make correct judgements.
Qualifications
M.Tech, Master of Science (MS) or bachelor’s degree (BE) in Civil/ Environmental/Related field of Engineering. Master’s degree preferred.
4 to 8 years’ experience preferably based on delivering projects to the UK Water Industry.
Basic experience working on planning and design of water/ wastewater infrastructure and treatment process projects (a must).
Candidate should have good and demonstrable technical understanding of standards and norms specific to UK Water Industry.
Some experience reviewing design drawings developed by CAD/BIM Technicians on software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit and Plant 3D.
