Job Role Description Summary

This role serves as a strategic partner and resource manager for external staff augmentation, ensuring effective labor resource delivery. In collaboration with the local Talent Site Lead, the Talent Advisor works closely with IT preferred suppliers and departments to place and retain top talent, deliver value, and align with strategic priorities.

The Talent Advisor also plays a key role in developing local talent. This includes identifying skill gaps, designing targeted development initiatives to build a sustainable and skilled local workforce.

Additionally, they leverage technology, data, and workforce planning tools to anticipate future demand. This includes understanding upcoming projects, identifying the types of solutions and skills that will be needed, and proactively addressing talent gaps before they impact delivery.

Key Objectives

  • Maintain cost efficiencies by optimizing the mix of talent and geographical locations while ensuring compliance with best practices.
  • Achieve seamless collaboration and high-quality interactions across departments and suppliers, enhancing operational efficiency and business outcomes.
  • Meet business needs with top-quality resources through strategic partnerships that boost performance and create value.
  • Design and implement initiatives to improve and develop local talent, building a sustainable and skilled workforce.
  • Leverage technology and workflows to anticipate future talent needs and proactively address skill gaps through demand planning.

Responsibilities

Vendor Management and Governance

  • Advise on the development and implementation of staff-augmentation strategies aligned with enterprise priorities.
  • Guide department leaders on contractor management and optimize organizational structure.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers.
  • Collaborate with departments and suppliers to manage work orders, negotiate rates, and ensure efficient resource allocation.
  • Educate stakeholders on contractor governance processes (e.g., Targetprocess Requests, Guardrails, Specialized Skills Assessments).
  • Monitor resource performance against service levels and KPIs.
  • Maintain data quality related to staff augmentation.
  • Work with Technical Leads and Regional Delivery Managers and BUs to secure budget approval from the department/BU.
  • Collaborate with departments and suppliers to manage work orders, negotiate rates, and ensure efficient resource allocation.
  • Align to geographic targets (On Shore, Offshore, Near Shore).
  • Influence strategic sourcing via PODs.

Talent Development & Internal Capability Building

  • Design and implement initiatives to improve and develop local talent.
  • Identify skill gaps and create training programs tailored to local workforce needs.
  • Partner with educational institutions and community programs to build a sustainable talent pipeline.
  • Collaborate with JF PDC to identify upskilling opportunities.

Demand & Workforce Planning

  • Use technology and workflows to forecast future talent needs based on upcoming projects.
  • Identify emerging skill requirements and proactively source or develop talent to meet those needs.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to align resourcing strategies with long-term business goals.
