Role Overview

The Director – IT Services will lead the strategy, delivery, and continuous improvement of enterprise IT infrastructure, cloud services, SRE/DRE capabilities, cybersecurity posture, and systems integration functions. The role requires a visionary leader who is hands-on with modern technologies, builds strong partnership ecosystems, and ensures resilient, scalable, and high-performance IT operations across the organization.

This leader will drive digital transformation, manage mission-critical environments (DC/DR, HPC/GPU clusters, manufacturing or command center operations), and enable DevOps-driven modernization across applications and platforms.

Key Responsibilities

  • IT Infrastructure & Cloud Services Leadership
  • Lead global infrastructure strategy across on-prem, hybrid cloud, multicloud (AWS/Azure/GCP) environments.
  • Oversee data center, disaster recovery, HPC/GPU clusters, networking, storage, and enterprise monitoring.
  • Implement high-availability architectures and performance optimization for compute-intensive and manufacturing workloads.
  • Service Reliability & Operations Excellence
  • Establish and scale SRE/DRE practices, focusing on reliability, automation, observability, SLIs/SLOs, and end-to-end service health.
  • Drive IT operations governance across L1–L3 teams, command centers, and incident/problem/change management.
  • DevOps, Integration & Transformation
  • Lead enterprise DevOps pipelines, CI/CD automation, configuration management, and infrastructure-as-code.
  • Oversee systems integration across ERP, MES, cloud platforms, OT-IT environments, and digital applications.
  • Enable smooth migrations and modernization projects (cloud, DC consolidation, platform upgrades, etc.).
  • Cybersecurity & Risk Management
  • Partner with Security leaders to ensure robust cybersecurity, compliance, identity & access management, and threat protection.
  • Strengthen risk management for manufacturing/OT environments, cloud workloads, and enterprise operations.
  • Vendor & Partnership Ecosystem Management
  • Build and manage relationships with cloud providers, SI partners, OEMs (e.g., Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Accenture, AWS, Azure, Dell, NVIDIA).
  • Drive contract negotiations, SLA governance, and overall partner performance.
  • Team Leadership & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Lead high-performing teams across infrastructure, SRE, cybersecurity, DevOps, and integration.
  • Collaborate with business units, manufacturing plants, product engineering, and executive leadership to align IT services to strategic needs.

Professional Experience

  • 18–26+ years in IT services, infrastructure, or digital operations roles.
  • Demonstrated success as Head/Director/VP of IT, Infrastructure, Systems Integration, DevOps, or Digital Operations.
  • Strong exposure to manufacturing/OT command centers, 24x7 operations, and mission-critical platforms.

Technical Skills

  • SRE / DRE frameworks, observability, automation
  • Hybrid Cloud / Multicloud, HPC, GPU compute
  • DevOps, CI/CD, IaC (Terraform, Ansible)
  • Networking, storage, virtualization, monitoring
  • Cybersecurity fundamentals and enterprise risk management
  • System integration, API and platform strategy

Leadership Competencies

  • Strategic thinking with hands-on problem-solving ability
  • Strong vendor/partner management
  • Cross-functional stakeholder management
  • Ability to operate in fast-paced, global, and complex environments

Education

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
  • Certifications preferred: AWS/Azure Architect, ITIL, Kubernetes, PMP, CISSP, or equivalent.
