SuperKalam is a YC-backed EdTech startup building an AI-first personal mentor for students. We started with UPSC, and we’re now expanding fast into K-12. Our focus is simple: help students learn better with clear guidance, daily discipline, and strong outcomes, with AI.

What this role is

We’re hiring a Creative Strategist who will own the end-to-end process of performance marketing creatives — from finding real user problems to turning them into high-converting ad scripts, and getting those scripts produced with creators + editors.

This is not a “just write scripts” role. This is a hook + execution role.

Key responsibilities

  • User research → hooks
  • Call students/users regularly (this is core to the job)
  • Understand: their pain, motivation, objections, and what “success” looks like for them
  • Convert insights into clear “hooks” (the one sharp reason someone should care)
  • Maintain a running “Hook Library” with proof points, examples, angles, and winning patterns
  • Scripts → ad creatives
  • Write practical, performance-first scripts for short video ads (15s–60s)
  • Create multiple variants per hook (different openers, tones, formats, CTAs)
  • Work closely with the team to prioritize what to test weekly (high volume, fast iteration)
  • Production execution
  • Coordinate with creators and video editors to get creatives produced
  • Hire / onboard creators when needed (part of the job)
  • Ensure speed + quality: clear briefs, fast feedback loops, zero micromanagement needed
  • Growth experiments (bonus scope)
  • Partner with influencers / creators when it makes sense
  • Support other growth initiatives: partnerships, distribution experiments, new funnels
  • Help the team scale what works across UPSC + K-12

What we’re looking for

Must-have

  • Based in Bangalore
  • Strong ownership mindset: you move work forward without waiting for instructions
  • Comfortable talking to users/students on calls daily
  • Strong communication + writing skills (simple, direct, no fluff)
  • Bias for action + high accountability (you treat outcomes as your responsibility)

Preferred

  • Experience in a B2C startup (content / growth / performance marketing / creative strategy)
  • You’ve worked with Meta/Google ad creatives or understand what makes ads convert
  • You understand “hook → script → production → iteration” workflow

Freshers / interns

Freshers can apply if you are highly proactive, sharp with communication, and can show proof of work (scripts, content, experiments, side projects, reels, anything real).

What success looks like (in 21-30 days)

  • You’re running a steady engine of user calls → hooks → scripts → produced creatives
  • Clear weekly output: consistent creative volume + learning loop
  • You start building repeatable “winning angles” for UPSC and K-12
  • Creators/editors work smoothly with your briefs and feedback
