We are looking for experienced professionals with a strong data science background (and overall data science experience of 7+ years) to work as a Manager in our Analytics Consulting practice in Mumbai and Bangalore.

Managers will lead end-to-end CPG & Retail analytics engagements, build data science solutions aligned to business needs, and serve as key liaisons between offshore teams and onshore clients.

Education: Advanced degree in a quantitative field such as Computer Science, Engineering, Statistics, Econometrics, Operations Research, or Information Sciences (Business Analytics, Informatics).

Required Skills: Successful candidates will have demonstrated the following skills and characteristics -

Must-Have (Manager - CPG & Retail Analytics)

  • Hands-on experience with CPG & Retail data assets such as point-of-sale (POS) transactions, loyalty-program histories, syndicated panel data (NielsenIQ, Circana/IRI, Kantar), e-commerce clickstream, and supply-chain sensors/IoT.
  • Proven skill in leading diverse teams (business, technical, vendors) with clear RACI definitions, psychological safety, and performance-tracking rituals (daily stand-ups, retros, OKRs).
  • Deep understanding of predictive modeling for purchase propensity, demand forecasting, promotion uplift, assortment, and customer lifetime value in omnichannel retail environments.
  • Experience working with CPG & Retail clients or data platforms (e.g., SAP CAR, Oracle Retail, Blue Yonder, Snowflake, Databricks, Shopify, Amazon Selling Partner API).
  • Proficiency in machine learning techniques—classification, regression, clustering, recommendation engines, and advanced time-series forecasting applied to sales and inventory data.
  • Strong command of statistical methods including A/B & multivariate testing, price-elasticity modeling, market-basket analysis, segmentation, and causal-impact evaluation.
  • Expert programming in Python or R, plus SQL with retail-specific data-wrangling libraries (pandas, dbt) across cloud warehouses (BigQuery, Redshift, Synapse).
  • Exposure to big data & real-time analytics stacks used in retail (Spark, Kafka, Delta Lake, Snowflake Streaming, Google Vertex AI).
  • Track record delivering analytics use cases across the CPG & Retail value chain: demand sensing, inventory & replenishment optimization, assortment & space planning, dynamic pricing, fraud/shrink detection, and last-mile logistics analytics.
  • Ability to translate insights for merchandising, marketing, supply-chain, and store-operations stakeholders—communicating clearly with both technical data teams and business leaders.

Nice to have

  • Exposure to ML engineering (Azure ML, AWS SageMaker, GCP Vertex AI)
  • Adoption of fit-for-purpose delivery frameworks (waterfall, Scrum, SAFe, PRINCE2) plus in-flight quality gates, peer reviews, and test-driven validation to ensure outputs meet acceptance criteria.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage analytics projects within the CPG & Retail domain, driving design, development, and delivery of data science solutions
  • Work closely with US-based clients and consultants to understand CPG & Retail specific use cases and define analytical approaches
  • Translate business problems into data-driven solutions, and ensure alignment with KPIs and expected outcomes
  • Review and manage data quality, model robustness, and explainability for CPG & Retail specific deployments
  • Present insights and analytical recommendations to internal stakeholders and client leadership teams
  • Mentor and upskill junior team members while fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous learning
  • Support practice development activities including IP creation, proposal support, and client engagement planning
