Controller - Sr Analyst

Overview:

As a Finance Controller, you will be responsible for overseeing the financial and operational control of engineering projects, ensuring alignment with budgetary goals, ensuring efficient resource allocation, cost management, and compliance with financial regulations. This role bridges engineering and finance, supporting decision-making through data analysis, cost control, and process optimization .

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning and Budgeting:

• Develop and maintain budgets for the engineering sites.
• Analyze cost variances and drive corrective actions
• Collaborate with project managers and engineering teams to forecast financial needs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Monitor budget performance and variance analysis, providing regular reports to stakeholders.
• Support capital expenditure planning and tracking
  
  

Cost Control and Optimization:

• Develop KPI to measure performance and cost optimization
• Implement cost control measures to optimize expenses while maintaining quality standards.
• Conduct financial analysis to identify areas for cost reduction or efficiency improvement.
  
  

Financial Reporting and Analysis:

• Prepare financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, to track performance accurately.
• Perform financial analysis to assess project profitability, ROI, and financial health.

Compliance and Risk Management:

• Ensure compliance with financial regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies.
  
  

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field. Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, Masters in Finance) preferred.
• Proven experience in financial management, budgeting, and cost control, preferably within a engineering environment.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and provide actionable insights.
• Knowledge of accounting principles, financial regulations, and compliance requirements.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams.
• Proficiency in financial software and tools, such as Excel, SAP, or similar systems.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a dynamic work environment.
