We are seeking experienced Consultant Radiologists based in India to support a 3 month imaging project focused on]chest CT and PET/CT review for lung cancer patients.The core responsibility is to perform consistent RECIST-based adjudication following a specific treatment in a standardized annotation environment. The data will have to be annotated within the given environment, a web-based platform, and it will not/ cannot be shared for local annotation. All data are de-identified in a HIPAA-compliant manner before the start of the exercise.You will have to measure, and track the lesions supporting response adjudication.Full training will be provided on the platform and project-specific conventions.
Core Responsibilities
Review PET/CT and chest CT scans for patients with lung cancer.
Identify target and non-target lesions in line with RECIST 1.1 and study-specific guidelines and perform bounding measurements and enter accurately in the annotation platform
Adjudicate treatment response at each timepoint (CR, PR, SD, PD) based on serial imaging and RECIST rules.
Assess scan quality and flag technically limited or non-comparable studies.
Provide brief standardized comments for ambiguous findings or atypical progressions, where required.
Participate in calibration rounds and inter-reader agreement checks with other fellow radiologists.
Incorporate structured feedback to tighten consistency across readers.
Meet agreed case volume and turnaround targets while maintaining high quality.
Adhere strictly to all data security and confidentiality policies for de-identified clinical imaging.
Required Qualifications and Experience
MBBS with MD or DNB in Radiology from a recognized Indian institution
or DMRD with a minimum of 3 years independent radiology reporting experience.
Valid registration with NMC or a State Medical Council in India.
Strong experience reporting CT scans, including thoracic CT.
Demonstrated exposure to oncologic imaging in day-to-day practice or in a tertiary care setting.
Comfortable working with PACS-like systems and web-based viewers, including scrolling through series, adjusting windowing, and performing linear measurements.
Ability to interpret and apply structured criteria (guidelines, checklists) consistently.
Good written English to document findings.
Reliable high-speed internet connection and a suitable remote reporting setup (monitor, quiet workspace).
Preferred Background
Prior experience in PET/CT interpretation for oncology staging or response assessment.
Familiarity with RECIST 1.1 from trials, tumor boards, or structured reporting.
Nice-to-have (These are not strict requirements, but they will shorten the learning curve and improve your match to the role.):
Experience working with de-identified datasets, standardized templates, or research protocols.
Previous experience in teleradiology, multicenter research, or imaging core lab work.
Training and Support
You Will Receive
Structured onboarding to the annotation and exploration environment.
Clear written SOPs on RECIST implementation, measurement rules, and naming conventions for lesions.
Example cases and initial calibration sets with feedback from research lead.
The expectation is that after the initial calibration period, you can work independently within the agreed quality thresholds.
Work Pattern and Expectations
Engagement: Consultant, 3 month contract, with potential extension based on project needs and performance.
Mode: Fully remote from within India.
Hours: Flexible scheduling, with a minimum weekly commitment (20 hours) agreed upfront.
Throughput: Case volume targets are communicated at the time of interview, with a focus on quality first and efficiency second.
Quality Control: Periodic blind re-reads and inter-reader comparisons; radiologists are expected to respond to feedback and adjust practice accordingly.
Compensation
Competitive consultant remuneration, either per case or per hour, aligned with experience and throughput expectations.
Payment terms and structure will be clarified during the interview stage and specified in the consulting agreement.
