What Youll Be Working On

As a Cloud Engineer at Founda, youll be instrumental in scaling and optimizing our cutting-edge infrastructure. Your responsibilities will involve:

• Collaborating with the Infra team to develop and implement a global hybrid on-premise and cloud Kubernetes strategy.
• Automating cloud infrastructure provisioning and management using Docker, Kubernetes, and Terraform.
• Enhancing, extending, and running internal tooling to enable our software engineering and support teams to efficiently deliver software.
• Establishing and implementing CI/CD strategies that allow us to continuously release.
• Developing and maintaining scalable and automated CI/CD pipelines using GitLab CI/CD and Argo CD, with a strong emphasis on Pipeline as Code.
• Improving the observability and tracing capabilities of our platform using Elastic Cloud APM to create a single pane of glass solution.
• Monitoring system performance using Prometheus and the EFK stack.
  
  

Our Infrastructure Stack

We work with a modern and robust set of technologies. Our tooling includes Kubernetes, Terraform, Aikido, ArgoCD, Velero, and Prometheus. For IaaS, we leverage AWS, and our SaaS solutions include Elastic Cloud, GitLab CI/CD, Cloudflare, and BetterUptime. We utilize Postgres for databases, Redpanda for queues, and VPN for networking.

Who You Are

Our ideal candidate is a passionate and experienced Cloud Engineer who embodies our commitment to innovation and excellence. You bring:

• 2+ years of production experience in a mature Kubernetes environment.
• Strong proficiency in at least one cloud platform (ideally AWS).
• A strong opinion and expertise on 100% Infrastructure as Code (IaC), ideally in Terraform.
• Experience in setting up strongly performing CI/CD pipelines (we use GitLab).
• Advanced (shell) scripting skills and proficiency in at least one programming language (ideally Python or Go).
• A clear understanding of what "cloud-native" means and a strong advocacy for its principles.
• A commitment to integrating security and following industry best practices as a fundamental part of your work.
• You love to collaborate with your peers and you thrive in an international environment. Furthermore, you are willing to learn new things and you have a curious nature.
  
  

Please note: this role is a hybrid role, we have an office in Bangalore, India. We are looking for someone who is Bangalore based and can come to the office at least once a week
