Summary: We are seeking a Wireless LAN Controller (WLC) Specialist with strong experience in Cisco wireless technologies and a solid background in enterprise routing and switching. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, deploying, and supporting wireless infrastructure in complex network environments. Experience with tools like F5 Load Balancers, Infoblox DDI, and VeloCloud SD-WAN is a plus and will be considered beneficial. Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and manage Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC) and associated wireless access points.
  • Perform wireless site surveys, coverage analysis, and optimize RF configurations for performance and security.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve wireless connectivity, performance, and roaming issues in enterprise environments.
  • Manage wireless policies, SSIDs, RF profiles, and guest access configurations.
  • Work closely with network teams to ensure seamless wireless and wired network integration.
  • Maintain documentation for wireless architecture, IP addressing, and device configurations.
  • Provide support for wireless network incidents, participate in root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions.
  • Ensure wireless compliance with security standards and best practices (e.g., 802.1X, WPA2/WPA3).
  • Collaborate on network infrastructure projects involving routing and switching technologies. Qualifications
  • 4-6 years of hands-on experience with Cisco Wireless LAN Controllers (WLC) – 9800/5508/3504 series.
  • Strong understanding of enterprise wireless technologies, including RF design, channel planning, and client behavior.
  • Proficient in Cisco Switching (VLANs, STP, EtherChannel) and Routing (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP).
  • Familiarity with wireless security protocols and authentication mechanisms (e.g., RADIUS, 802.1X).
  • Solid experience with network monitoring and troubleshooting tools.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Network Engineering, or related field.
  • Relevant certifications such as CCNP Enterprise, CWNA, or Cisco Wireless Specialist preferred. Good to Have Skills
  • Exposure to F5 BIG-IP Load Balancers (LTM/GTM) and traffic management concepts.
  • Familiarity with Infoblox DDI (DNS, DHCP, IPAM) administration.
  • Basic understanding or experience with VeloCloud SD-WAN.
  • Knowledge of network automation (Python, Ansible) and wireless scripting tools.
  • Understanding of ITIL processes and enterprise service delivery practices.
  • Advanced certifications like CCNP/CCNA Wireless, CWDP, F5-CTS, or Infoblox Core DDI are a plus. Additional Information: - The candidate should have minimum 4 years of experience in Enterprise Network Operations. - This position is based at our Bengaluru office. - A 15 years full time education is required.
