Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced AMS Lead to oversee Workday Application Managed Services (AMS) delivery for our Australia region clients. The AMS Lead will be responsible for ensuring high-quality service delivery, client satisfaction, and team performance across functional and technical Workday streams.
This role involves coordinating with Australia-based client teams, managing priorities across multiple customers, and driving operational excellence through proactive issue management, performance tracking, and process improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Workday AMS delivery for assigned Australian clients across HCM, Payroll, Finance, and Integrations.
- Manage a team of consultants, ensuring adherence to SLAs, timely resolution of tickets, and quality assurance.
- Serve as the primary escalation point for client issues and drive resolution with technical and functional teams.
- Collaborate with regional stakeholders to plan resourcing, workload distribution, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Conduct regular governance meetings, prepare status reports, and ensure proactive communication with clients.
- Drive adoption of new Workday releases and features, coordinating regression testing and change management.
- Ensure compliance with delivery processes, security, and data privacy requirements.
- Support onboarding and training of new AMS team members.
Required Skills & Experience
- 8–12 years of overall Workday experience, with at least 4+ years in an AMS or post-production support environment.
- Strong understanding of Workday modules such as HCM, Payroll (preferably AU Payroll), Absence, and Integrations.
- Prior experience in leading or managing a support team for Workday AMS or similar enterprise applications.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across time zones (India–Australia overlap).
- Strong problem-solving, prioritization, and stakeholder management skills.
- ITIL certification or familiarity with IT service management processes is a plus.
Preferred Qualifications
- Workday certification in one or more functional or technical areas.
- Experience working with global customers, especially in ANZ or APAC regions.
- Exposure to Workday Release Management and Tenant Management activities.
