Responsibilities

  • Ownership of Accounts Payable processes including vendor and related team inquiries
  • Communicate findings to various vendors and management as needed
  • Analyze and resolve complex inquiries
  • Develops and provides timely delivery of information to appropriate management
  • Data mining and querying of key data
  • Leadership of various Accounts Payable tasks and projects
  • Recommend and implement actions to reduce business costs
  • Perform root cause analysis and streamline processes
  • Work cross-functionally with other areas of the company and various levels of management
  • Develop and enhance metrics and other reporting as needed

Core Competencies & Accomplishments

  • Knowledge of basic accounting procedures and principles
  • Familiarity with SQL and other querying tools
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Excellent critical thinking, analytical and decision-making skills
  • Intermediate to advanced ability with Microsoft Office Tools, including Excel
  • Ability to adapt to changing circumstances
  • Detailed and organized to prioritize work effectively
  • Proactive in setting goals and achieving results
  • Eager to learn and willing to take on new initiatives

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s in Accounting or Finance is preferred
  • 4-6 years of experience in roles with increasing responsibility and analytical decision making
  • Certificate on latest Finance technology tools would be preferred
  • Lean and Six sigma background would be added advantage
