Job Description

The Technical Project Manager is responsible for the end-to-end delivery of software development and enterprise technology projects. This role ensures predictable execution through strong project governance, technical understanding, Agile delivery practices, and effective stakeholder coordination across engineering, product, and business teams.

Key Responsibilities

Project Planning and Delivery

Own the full project lifecycle from initiation and planning through execution, delivery, and closure.

Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, milestones, dependencies, and delivery timelines.

Track execution against scope, schedule, quality, and cost commitments.

Translate business and client requirements into clear, actionable technical deliverables.


Agile Execution

Drive project delivery using Agile and Scrum methodologies.

Facilitate Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, daily stand-ups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives.

Monitor sprint and project metrics to ensure predictable and on-time delivery.

Support adoption of Agile and DevOps best practices across teams.


Technical and Engineering Collaboration

Work closely with engineering leads on technical feasibility, implementation approach, and delivery planning.

Maintain a strong working understanding of the software development lifecycle, system integrations, APIs, and deployment processes.

Ensure alignment between technical solutions and project objectives.


Stakeholder and Client Management

Act as the primary point of contact for internal stakeholders and clients.

Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, and changes clearly and proactively.

Manage expectations and escalate issues in a timely and appropriate manner.


Risk, Quality, and Governance

Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks and issues.

Ensure adherence to delivery standards, quality processes, and governance frameworks.

Maintain accurate project documentation, reports, and delivery artifacts using tools.


Continuous Improvement

Drive continuous improvement through retrospectives and lessons learned.

Recommend and implement process and tooling improvements to enhance delivery efficiency and quality.


Required Qualifications and Experience

8–10 years of overall IT experience.

Minimum 5 years of experience in Technical Project Management

Proven experience delivering software development projects in a services or consulting environment.

Strong understanding of Agile frameworks and software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Hands-on experience with project management and collaboration tools.

Solid technical understanding of frontend, backend, APIs, integrations, and release management processes.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Ability to work effectively in a matrixed, multi-stakeholder environment.


Educational Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, IT, or a related technical discipline

Project or Agile certifications such as PMP, CSM, PMI-ACP, SAFe, or PRINCE2.

Experience working with distributed teams and global clients.

Prior hands-on technical or software engineering background.
