As Senior QA Automation Engineer, you will be responsible for ensuring software quality through the design, development, and execution of automated tests and frameworks, contributing to the delivery of high-quality software products. You will ensure that the test automation frameworks are established and enhanced appropriately based on the software testing needs.

Your EDGE Assignment/You Will

  • Design and implement automation frameworks and suites for REST APIs, .NET Core microservices, React web applications, and React Native mobile apps.
  • Build API/contract tests using tools like REST Assured, Postman, or custom frameworks to validate microservice interactions and data contracts.
  • Develop UI automation for web (React) using frameworks like Playwright, Cypress, or Selenium; develop mobile automation (React Native) using Appium or similar.
  • Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines (Azure Pipelines, GitHub Actions) to enable fast feedback and safe deployments.
  • Contribute to test data management and environment setup for consistent, reliable test execution.
  • Collaborate with engineers and product owners to define test strategies, acceptance criteria, and coverage goals for functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Participate in code reviews of test automation code; promote best practices in test design and maintainability.
  • Support incident investigations by providing detailed test execution logs and reproducing issues in controlled environments.

Are you the one?

  • 4–8 years of experience in test automation for APIs, web applications, and preferably mobile apps.
  • Strong programming skills in at least one language: C#, JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or Java.
  • Proficiency with modern automation frameworks:
    • API: REST Assured, Postman, custom HTTP clients, GraphQL testing
    • Web: Playwright, Cypress, Selenium, or similar
    • Mobile: Appium, Detox, or equivalent for React Native
    • API contract testing: Pact, Spring Cloud Contract, or similar
    • Understanding of RESTful APIs, HTTP methods, status codes, and authentication mechanisms (OAuth2, JWT, Basic Auth).
    • Familiarity with microservices testing: service virtualization, contract testing, and consumer-driven contract (CDC) approaches.
    • Knowledge of databases sufficient to write test data setup queries (SQL Server, basic NoSQL querying).
    • Experience with version control (Git), CI/CD platforms (Azure Pipelines, GitHub Actions, Jenkins), and test automation in Agile environments.
    • Basic understanding of Docker and containerization (testing in containerized environments).
    • Knowledge of test data management, environment configuration, and handling test data lifecycle.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
