Parts Author – Technical Information services

Mission

• To provide value added technical information services based on the project or task assigned to him\her including component and assembly illustrations ensuring quality, on time delivery in full and efficiency with an objective of achieving customer satisfaction according to the set procedures and guidelines as applicable complying to all the required company policies and values
  
  

Job Description

• Gather and analyze technical information (ECN, BOM, Drawings, CAD, etc.)
• Create a parts page as per the parts break down.
• ECN analysis and update in parts catalogue.
• Manage parts page, illustrations, and reusable content in a structured way as per our standards.
• Create/revise technical illustrations using IsoDraw, Creo View, Adobe Illustrator.
• Coordinate with Peer Reviewer, Illustrator, Project Lead.
• Record and release quality, delivery, and other project metrics/KPIs.
  
  

Experience Requirements

• Min 2-4 years of industrial experience in creating technical illustrations preferably in automotive or heavy engineering field.
• Should have completed degree or diploma in mechanical engineering or related field.
• Experience in creation and revision of Spare parts catalog.
• Good understanding on Parts breakdown, Spare Part kits, and Disassembly sequence.
• Hands on experience in teamcenter will be an added advantage.
• Should be able to identify the illustration requirements as per the end user needs.
  
  

Knowledge

• Good knowledge on Technical publication methodology and tools
• Should have a very good capability to analyse customer requirements
• Good engineering judgment and communication skills.
  
  

Educational Requirements

• Bachelors / Automobile /Other Engineering

• Enthusiastic, able to work well under pressure
• Excellent interpersonal, communication, analytical and organization skills. Self-starter, goal oriented and clear thinking
• Attention to details and strong sense of responsibility
