The Manager for Finance Management (FM) Services assists the Portfolio Administration Lead in managing day-to-day operations, supporting implementation of strategic initiatives, ensuring quality delivery of services, while performing certain analyst functions. This role combines technical ability with leadership potential to ensure and maintain accuracy, operational efficiency and client satisfaction.

About the Role:
Financial & Accounting Expertise: Requires intermediate knowledge of GAAP, FASB regulations, and financial principles including various accounting methods (cash, accrual, full GAAP).
Operational & Team Support: Acts as a point of contact in the manager’s absence, supports task delegation, and facilitates onboarding and training of new team members.
Lease & Expense Management: Conducts financial analyses (e.g., rent variance, reconciliations), updates real estate systems with expense adjustments, and ensures lease compliance.
Invoice & Documentation Oversight: Verifies and reconciles property invoices, coordinates with landlords/internal teams on disputes, and manages documentation for vendor setup and charge validation.
Compliance & Client Engagement: Ensures adherence to internal policies (SOC1, AR/AP), reviews report for accuracy and participates in client meetings and calls.
About You
Educational & Professional Background: Bachelor’s degree required with a minimum of 7 years of work experience, preferably in accountancy, invoice processing, data administration, real estate, or data analysis.
Leadership Experience: At least 2 years of experience supervising a small team, providing guidance and training to ensure productivity and accuracy.
Industry-Specific Skills: Prior experience in transaction management, property management, lease administration, and invoice processing is preferred.
Technical Proficiency: Strong skills in lease management systems, database tools, and high proficiency in MS Office applications.
Communication & Relationship Management: Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills, with strong interpersonal abilities to engage effectively across a matrix organization.
