Job Overview Summary

The HR Business Partner (HRBP) position is responsible for aligning business objectives with leadership and employees in designated business units. They are proactive in developing, researching, and implementing human resource strategies that drive organizational and operational improvement that allows us to meet our corporate objectives and continuously evolve our employee engagement and culture. This work includes, but is not limited to, increasing workforce capability, improving organizational design and structure, providing change leadership, strategic staffing, talent management / succession planning and supporting day-to-day operations as well as on-going process improvement. The HRBP relies on experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, handle employee relations, perform management coaching, and organizational assessment and development matters.

The HRBP has the ability to recognize such hidden issues that hinder a company from achieving its goals. The HRBP must exhibit good collaboration and communication skills so they can communicate with employees throughout the organization, and thus influence employees at all levels The HRBP must have a solid technical and business acumen along with strategic thinking for delivering recommendations and guidance that is best in favor of the business. The HRBP is responsible for monitoring our competitors in order to continuously improve and evolve our business and employee work environment.

Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Partner with business executives, leaders, and their teams for the development of organizational strategies that boost productivity and growth, supporting the overall company objectives.
  • Develop such strategies to be able to provide guidance to business leaders on the tactics to enhance employee productivity, engagement, and retention.
  • Advise the business executives and leaders about the strategies to ensure alignment with the company’s culture and goals through review of and recommendations for effectiveness and efficiencies in organizational design.
  • Effectively partner and communicate with business leadership on the development and implementation of strategies keeping in view the organization’s long- and short-term goals, inclusive of strategical integrations and talent acquisition.
  • Closely work with the global HR team to keep the work focused on HR responsibilities such as talent acquisition, employee performance management, compensation and rewards, and employee career development.
  • Work as a counselor, mentor, and consultant for the business leaders to inform and ask them about the strategic planning so you can easily translate the business requirements into HR initiatives and programs.
  • Analyze performance metrics such as statistics on employee retention and experience to come up with ideas for improvements and enhancements.
  • Collaborate with HR and business leaders to solve employee relations issues.


Location

This role is open to candidates working in one of the following locations: Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • 3+ years of progressive human resources experience as a HR Business Partner, driving organizational change initiatives, developing talent management plans for a global organization.
  • Collaborate and contribute as a valued team member and colleague across multiple stakeholders and levels including HR, Talent Acquisition, Finance, Legal, and Business Unit leadership.
  • Advanced knowledge of compensation salary survey tools and integrated HRIS systems.
  • In depth knowledge of Indian employment laws.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Master’s degree in human resources, related field, or MBA.
  • Strong business acumen, consulting, analysis, project management, communication, presentation, negotiation, conflict management and problem-solving skills preferably in a life science, pharmaceutical or technology industry.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the entire talent system and each stage of the employee lifecycle to craft integrated solutions.
  • Ability to provide thought leadership and input on business unit restructurings, strategic workforce planning and succession planning.
  • Ability to work effectively and remain flexible and agile in a rapidly changing environment along with a willingness to always be learning.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to act with discretion, thoughtfulness, and empathy.
  • A high tolerance for ambiguity and an ability to problem-solve independently and thoroughly.
  • Excellent written and verbal communications; and high-quality preparation and presentation skills.
  • Strong computer skills with demonstrated proficiency in MS Office, e.g. Word, Excel, PowerPoint. Expertise in HRIS systems.
  • Ability to model the highest degree of ethical behavior, discretion, thoughtfulness, and empathy.


Physical And Mental Requirements

  • Sit or stand for extended periods of time at stationary workstation
  • Regularly carry, raise, and lower objects of up to 10 Lbs.
  • Learn and comprehend basic instructions
  • Focus and attention to tasks and responsibilities
  • Verbal communication; listening and understanding, responding, and speaking
