WIFI CPE Testing

Knowledge of Telecom, Cable Technologies and Products.

• Experience in writing Automation Scripts using Python for Network devices/Cable Modem /WiFi Routers.
• Strong understanding and experience with Network protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, routing protocols, WiFi 6, 6E and 7, DOCSIS 3.0 and 3.1 standards.
• Good knowledge of CPE testing for Functional, Regression, Sanity for voice, data, RDKB and Docsis features
• Develop wireless network infrastructure and make recommendations on system enhancements for optimization.
• Familiarity with Linux/Unix working environment.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Hands-on experience in WiFi, Ruckus SmartZone Cambium cnMaestro, BNG/BRAS testing, Cisco IOS-XE and Ruckus FastIron switch testing may be helpful.
• Certifications like Certified Wireless Network Professional (CWNP) or Cisco Certified Internetwork Expert Wireless (CCIE Wireless) may be helpful Test planning, Manual and Automation Test Execution, Automation Test Scripting using Python, and Reporting for CPE (Broadband/Cable modem) and Wi-Fi Devices.
• Interact with multiple Stakeholders, Project Manager, Technical contract management teams and Vendors across the board to for connectivity CPE certification.
• Identification and Resolution of Field Issues and Defects: Issue Reproduction, Triaging, Investigation, Troubleshooting, Issue Resolution and Defect Tracking to Closure.
• CPE Lab setup, Lab management - for Broadband CPEs, Wireless Gateways and Extenders.
• 4 to 6 years working experience in Manual and Automation Device Testing, troubleshooting experience in RF network and in Cable domain including Wi-Fi, Voice, DOCSIS Cable Modems.
