As a Senior Associate in US Indirect Tax - Sales & Use Tax Compliance, you will focus on providing advice and guidance to clients on indirect tax planning, compliance, and strategy. Your role will involve helping businesses navigate complex indirect tax regulations and optimize their tax positions within our Tax practice. As a Senior Associate, you will leverage your skills to analyze complex problems, mentor junior team members, and maintain professional standards. You will build meaningful client relationships, anticipate needs, and embrace increased ambiguity to deliver quality work.

Responsibilities

• Providing advice and guidance on indirect tax planning, compliance, and strategy to optimize client tax positions
• Navigating complex indirect tax regulations including value-added tax (VAT), goods and services tax (GST), and sales tax
• Collaborating with clients to address indirect tax controversies and develop effective solutions
• Utilizing business tax and tax modeling skills to support client engagements and deliver insights
• Conducting tax accounting analysis to identify opportunities for tax optimization
• Developing meaningful client relationships to anticipate needs and deliver tailored tax solutions
• Mentoring junior team members to enhance their understanding of indirect tax concepts and practices
• Leveraging technical strengths to analyze complex tax scenarios and provide actionable recommendations
  
  

• At least a Bachelor's degree in the following field of study: Accounting or Master's in Commerce
• At least 4 years of experience
• Oral and written proficiency in English required

• Navigating Indirect Tax Controversies effectively
• Utilizing Tax Accounting and Tax Modeling skills
• Developing strategies for optimizing indirect tax positions
