A career in our Merger and Acquisition Tax practice, within Tax services, will provide you with the opportunity to help our clients meet and manage their tax obligations across unique but ever changing tax specialties. You’ll advise clients on their local and overseas tax affairs, while acting as a strategic consultant related to business analysis, managing indirect taxes, dispute resolution, and global enterprise tax solutions. Our team helps our clients with various aspects of a merger and acquisition transactions such as restructuring, divestiture, partnerships and insolvency. You’ll focus on helping clients establish treasury goals, analyse and quantify tax assets, assess tax risks, and model taxable income and cash flow impacts.
The Work Could Include
Working on multiple concurrent and high-profile projects and working alongside our experienced rapid application solution data analytics team. Required to come up with innovative solutions, research new products, tools and techniques, working independently and as part of teams.
Create dashboards using Tableau and Power BI. We advise our clients on the right solution to solve their business process challenges and take these forward and develop those into applications.
You will develop your network and build strong relationships with senior members of the team. We will be investing in you to upskill, undergo training, and further develop your capabilities in using low code technology and designing technology solutions for clients.
You will also have opportunities and coaching on other non-technical aspects of development such as requirements gathering and presentations.
This role requires an individual to possess high business acumen and analytical skills. This role will involve working with different teams globally.
Understand the process of workflow related to work requests from initiation through completion, understand how workflow is managed within the firms workflow management tool, understand optimal and required ways to document results of work performed.
Consistently demonstrate teamwork dynamics by working as a team member: understand personal and team roles; contribute to a positive working environment by building solid relationships with team members; and proactively seek guidance, clarification and feedback.
3-4 years experience in Data Analytics role.
Proficient in data analytics and visualization tools - Alteryx (a must) and either Power BI or Tableau.
Skilled in Excel and PowerPoint, MS Project or any other project Management tool.
Financially literate: understanding of accounting and key finance concepts and processes.
Professional accounting qualification.
Certification in analytic tools.
Other analytics/modeling experience, for example using tools such as MS Excel (Inc VBA), SQL and RPA
Experience working on data/modeling projects, including the ability to meet deadlines, manage stakeholder expectations, overcome challenges, and produce project deliverables.
Experience working on Tax automation/ analytics projects.
Ability to work in a fast-paced team and work on multiple projects at once.
Proven ability to delegate tasks and work streams to other team members and leverage other business shared resources to deliver complex financial models.
Willingness to contribute to the creation of a new proposition and to bring new ideas/solutions to the table.
Keen interest in staying up to speed with technology solutions and applying / implementing new ways of working / solutions to projects.
Excellent communication skills and personal impact, as well as a keen interest in developing self and others.
Is a team player, committed to providing high quality and maintaining timelines.
