Senior Staff Engineer Applications

Job Description

In your new role you will:

• You will be part of a global automotive applications team and you will be working with colleagues and customers on developing their lates tinnovations based on Infineon Automotive microcontrollers.
• Your role includes understanding device internals andend-applications, ownership of customer use-cases with respect to low-level drivers, utility tools using scripting, and closely working with global customers to help them evaluate Infineon Automotive MCUs.
• Take up technical leadership in the area of low-level drivers,supporting customers using them and also enabling innovation to improve ease-of-use and tooling support.
• You will support our customers’ software design-in with detailed product expertise of Infineon 32 bit microcontrollers, interact with developers and with the technical team and ensure a high level of software quality.
  
  

Your Profile

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• Have a degree in Electrical Engineering, Information Technology or Computer Science ideally with focus on low-level firmware / softwareaspects of embedded systems
• Minimum 8+ years of experience in automotive software projects
• Good experinece in embedded software development knowledge in C ideally on both, application and low-level side, profiling and solid debuggingskills
• Familiarity with computer system architecture, and microcontrollerfundamentals (buses, caches etc.)
• Active involvement in testing and debugging of low-level drivers (e.g.DMA/ADC/PWM/Flash etc.)
• Exposure to AURIX(TM) and TRAVEO(TM) microcontroller families is an added advantage
• Know about (automotive) communication protocols and (real-time) operating systems
• Be able to understand the end system in addition to softwareimplementation
• Actively drive complex problems reported by customers to a solution
• Enjoy travelling for work at least once in a while
