The Senior Specialist – Learning & Development is responsible for supporting the planning, development, coordination, and execution of learning and development initiatives that promote professional growth, enhance technical and leadership capabilities, and support firm-wide compliance. This role will partner closely with service line leaders, subject matter experts, HR, and other stakeholders to identify learning needs, deliver impactful development programs, and foster a strong learning culture across Weaver.
The Senior Specialist will take ownership of key L&D programs and processes, contribute to the continuous improvement of learning initiatives, and use data and feedback to measure program effectiveness and identify opportunities for improvement.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Lead the planning, coordination, and execution of learning and development programs, including scheduling, communications, participant management, course materials, evaluations, continuing education accreditation, catering, audio-visual requirements, virtual training platforms, and overall program logistics.
Partner with service line leaders, subject matter experts, and HR stakeholders to identify learning and development needs and translate them into effective learning solutions.
Support the design, development, and implementation of training programs aligned with business priorities, employee development needs, and firm objectives.
Manage and coordinate new hire learning programs, ensuring employees complete required onboarding, compliance, technical, and other assigned training within established timelines.
Monitor and communicate completion status for required firm-wide training and proactively follow up with employees and stakeholders on outstanding requirements.
Administer and maintain the firm’s Learning Management System (LMS), including course creation, assignments, enrollment, reporting, completion tracking, content updates, and ensuring learning materials are accurate, accessible, and appropriately categorized.
Develop and maintain L&D reports, dashboards, and metrics to track participation, completion, learning effectiveness, and other key performance indicators.
Analyze training data, employee feedback, post-training evaluations, and survey results to identify trends, measure program effectiveness, and recommend improvements.
Support employees in utilizing Weaver’s learning and development benefits, including certification programs, professional licenses, external conferences, continuing education, and other development opportunities.
Coordinate continuing professional education (CPE) requirements and maintain accurate records and documentation to support compliance and reporting.
Provide guidance and support to employees and managers regarding available learning programs, development resources, and L&D processes.
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to improve learning processes, resources, and employee learning experiences.
Support the development and delivery of communications related to learning programs, mandatory training, development opportunities, and other L&D initiatives.
Assist with the evaluation and implementation of new learning technologies, tools, and resources to enhance the employee learning experience.
Maintain accurate training records, documentation, course materials, and other L&D resources.
Travel to other office locations, internal events, and training sessions as required, sometimes with minimal notice.
Contribute to special projects and firm-wide L&D initiatives as assigned.
Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned.
Compliance and Professional Standards
Understand and adhere to the Firm’s policies and procedures, as well as applicable professional and regulatory standards. Participate in training and evaluation of knowledge of and adherence to the firm’s compliance policies and procedures specific to the job level.
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Education, Psychology, Communications, Organizational Development, or a related field.
Relevant professional certifications in Learning & Development, HR, instructional design, or related areas are preferred.
Experience And Skills
5+ years of experience in Learning & Development, Talent Development, HR, training coordination, or a related field, preferably within a professional services environment.
Experience independently managing and coordinating multiple learning programs and initiatives.
Strong understanding of learning and development processes, training administration, and employee development practices.
Experience working with a Learning Management System (LMS) and generating training reports and analytics.
Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact effectively with employees, managers, leadership, and external vendors.
Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills.
Ability to analyze training data and employee feedback and translate findings into actionable recommendations.
Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate training and compliance records.
Ability to organize and utilize input from diverse sources to achieve program objectives.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
Ability to learn and effectively utilize new technologies, learning platforms, and systems.
Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and take ownership of assigned responsibilities.
Ability to handle confidential and sensitive employee information with professionalism and discretion.
