This Position reports to:

R&D Department Lead




The role of Sr Test Engineer in the PCP R&D is aimed towards synchronizing and driving ‘feature to system’ strategy testing across various phases of SDLC. This role will also be working for harmonized test automation and continuous feature and test integration strategy and tools.

The position will be based out of PCP R&D System Testing team, Bangalore.

Key Responsibilities

• Participate in requirement analysis, making sure that sustainable tests are created.
• Define and communicate the test scope per requirement - by creating acceptance criteria for each.
• Overview of the test scope in various phases of test life cycle.
• Co-ordinate with various Test Architects to create a system wide test strategy.
• Manage and maintain the test plan with dependencies and constraints.
• Support all development and test teams in defining the test environments and applications suitable for efficient testing.
• Achieve high level of Test Automation at all stages of testing lifecycle.
• Drives root cause analysis for critical and most common issues found in tests and customer cases.
  
  
  

Key Qualifications

• Thorough Knowledge of ABB 800xA System.
• At least 6-8 years of Experience in ABB 800xA Deployment, Engineering and Operation
• Experience in Cyber Security applied on Industrial Automation offerings.
• Experience in Test Automation, CI/CD Pipeline
• Experience in Azure Cloud, RHEL, Kubernetes will be added advantage
• Experience in Industrial Automation Systems and Protocols verification and validation
• Complete understanding of Software Development Life Cycle, white and black box test methodologies, Scaled Agile and Continuous Integration
• Systemic approach for analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience in working with globally distributed teams and proven positive asserting skills.
