Job Description
Nielsen Outcomes focuses on brand and buyer outcomes measurement, and empowers advertisers, publishers and agencies with the intelligence they need to drive revenue, increase market share, and optimize their audiences and investments. We are looking for a skilled, technology savvy professional to join the team as a Sr. Product Manager of Nielsen Outcomes and help build out the modernization and future proofing efforts in this converged TV landscape.
In this role, you will collaborate with a team of product, engineering, data science, UX/UI and commercial leaders to: define new products and features, drive and architect automation processes, develop a strategic product roadmap, generate and maintain detailed requirements to ensure our products meet evolving client and industry needs, and grow Nielsen’s business.
Responsibilities
Own and execute product ideation, inception, and discovery for Nielsen’s Nielsen ONE Outcomes Reporting UI.
Define product requirements, work with Engineering, Data Science and UI/UX teams, and deliver solutions that meet user needs.
Interprets internal or external business issues and recommends best practices
Solve complex problems; take a broad perspective to identify innovative solutions
Work independently, with guidance in only the most complex situations
Assist with the management of the product roadmap and backlog prioritization
Advocate for scalable solution design that supports end user needs and use cases
Adeptly manage expectations in line with the product roadmap and scope of releases
Effectively communicate product status and progress to leadership and key stakeholders
Cultivate engagement with end users for meaningful participation in discovery, user testing, evangelization, and adoption efforts
Assume responsibility as the subject matter expert on the product.
Collaborate with key internal user and commercial stakeholders for successful Go-To-Market releases including: Tech/Ops/Engineering, Commercial/Sales, Product Marketing, Data Science, and external partners.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience; advanced degree or specialized certifications strongly preferred.
10-15 years of total experience
5+ years, recognized expertise in end to end Product Management and SaaS Product Development
Proven Media / Ad Tech industry expertise.
Experience in planning, developing, and managing products, preferably in advertising, marketing, media or technology.
Interprets internal/external business challenges and recommends best practices to improve products, processes or services
Communicates complex concepts; anticipates potential objections and influences others to adopt a different point of view
Ability to interpret complex concepts into Product Requirements through JIRA story writing and Confluence documentation under an agile framework
Requires depth and/or breadth of expertise in own specialized area and general knowledge of related areas
Demonstrated ability to work with and manage both technical and non-technical teams, as well as external vendors
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Ability to manage and build relationships with clients and external parties to understand product features and requirements
Impacts the achievement of customer, operational, project or service objectives; work is guided by department objectives
Proven ability to develop and release End User User Interface (Dashboards) that provide data driven insights.
