Job Overview

The Senior Manager - Vendor Management is responsible for leading and overseeing the vendor management function, managing a team of Senior Associates and Analysts. This role ensures effective governance, strategic oversight, and continuous improvement of vendor data management, vendor relationships, contract management, and process optimization initiatives. The Senior Manager is a key partner for business stakeholders and plays a proactive role in driving compliance, cost efficiencies, and value delivery from vendor relationships.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the Vendor Management team for PwC India Acceleration Centers (ACs).
  • Design and implement vendor management strategies that are (i) focused on building and maintaining an optimal and diverse vendor base to meet contingent hiring needs of PwC and (ii) ensure efficient vendor utilization.
  • Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of vendors supporting contingent hiring, including vendor selection, Contracting processes, onboarding & performance.
  • Partner with PwC’s Audit and Risk teams to design and execute audit and compliance procedures to ensure Transactional integrity & risk minimization.
  • Serve as the Subject Matter Expert (SME) on PwC contractual nuances, providing strategic guidance and solutions to internal teams on vendor-related matters.
  • Collaborate with Cross functional teams to identify opportunities to optimize vendor cost & consolidation decisions, automation & process improvements.
  • Work extensively with the vendors to nurture and strengthen relation & partnerships.
  • Prepare and present comprehensive reports, insights, and recommendations on vendor management to senior leadership and key stakeholders.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in vendor management & a leadership role, with a proven track record of managing teams and driving process improvements.
  • Adept with Contractual norms and commercial negotiations
