Sarla Aviation is at the forefront of revolutionizing urban air mobility with its cutting-edge eVTOL (electric Vertical Take-off and Landing) aircraft featuring innovative tilt-rotor technology. Sarla Aviation, a pioneer in the development of sustainable, efficient, and safe air transportation systems, is dedicated to influencing the future of aviation. We are seeking a skilled and driven Senior Loads & Aeroelastics Engineer to join our expanding team and contribute to the success of our eVTOL program.
About The Role
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Loads & Aeroelastics Engineer to join our Airframes team. As a Senior Loads & Aeroelastics Engineer, you will be the technical bridge connecting structures, aerodynamics, and flight controls, ensuring our aircraft remains safe, efficient, and certifiable across the entire flight envelope. You will own the prediction, analysis, and validation of structural loads and aeroelastic behaviour, playing a pivotal role in design decisions and certification milestones. This is a chance to shape not only our aircraft but the future of air mobility.
What Youll Do
Lead the generation of loads spectra and envelopes to support structural sizing, fatigue, and certification.
Perform static, dynamic, and transient loads analysis across various flight phases.
Conduct sensitivity studies, load reduction strategies, and worst-case evaluations.
Develop, validate, and maintain aeroelastic models to assess flutter, divergence, control effectiveness, and other dynamic stability concerns.
Collaborate with flight control engineers to ensure aeroelastic effects are accounted for in control law design and tuning.
Work closely with Structures, Aerodynamics, and Flight Controls teams.
Provide clear loads input to design teams and validate their feedback for continuous loop refinement.
Support ground and flight test campaigns to validate loads and aeroelastic predictions.
Correlate analytical models with experimental data, refining methods and models.
Drive innovation in simulation and testing techniques to accelerate development.
Develop internal process relevant to loads loop communication.
What Youll Need
PhD/MSc in Aerospace Engineering (or related discipline) with strong background in flight mechanics, aeroelasticity, or structural dynamics.
8+ years of experience in loads and aeroelastic analysis (aircraft, rotorcraft, or eVTOL preferred).
Expertise in industry-standard tools such as Simcenter, STAR-CCM+, NASTRAN, MATLAB/Simulink, FEM codes, or any dedicated aeroelastic solvers.
Proven track record of loads prediction, flutter analysis, and test correlation.
Strong communicator, able to bridge disciplines and simplify complex physics for decision-making.
Startup mindset: proactive, innovative, hands-on, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, multi-disciplinary environment.
Solid grasp of CS-23/CS-27, Part 23/27, or equivalent certification requirements from EASA / FAA / DGCA.
Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills.
Entrepreneurial mindset - ability to work in a startup environment and build from scratch.
