Senior Business Analyst

The Business Analyst is a key role within the DCI organization, in providing data integrity and insightful business analysis reports to support informed decision making in the space of customer journey growth. The ideal candidate comes with strong technical experience with business understanding and will work in the Analytics team delivering end-to-end storyboarding report solutions.

In your new role you will:

• Identify and prioritize business requirements scope
• Write, interpret, and optimize complex queries across disparate data sources using SQL
• Collaborate with colleagues to understand the business need and design data solutions that provide insight, including building dashboards, presentations and adhoc recommendations
• Perform technical analysis and create datasets that describe business questions/processes
• Analyze operational metrics and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to identify cause-and-effect relationships between key business drivers
• Develop case and articulate potential impact of the solution to the business providing clarification of the enabling solutions and reports
• Perform statistical analysis on various data sets to derive actionable insights to improve business
• Manage data synchronization and transfer of internal databases
• Translating data into useful insights to drive and solve critical business and inform operational decisions.
• Ensure data integrity for reporting
• Work closely with data engineers and develop skills to build data pipelines for analysis
• Automate and improve data quality and bring productivity to workflows related to data
• Build reporting tools and dashboards to efficiently provide visibility on key metrics
  
  

You are best equipped for this task if you have:

• Degree/masters in computer science, Mathematics or Statistics major
• Relevant applied work experience in quantitative analysis of at least 6-8 years
• Ability to work with large amounts of data from disparate sources: collecting, consolidating, analyzing, and synthesizing
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Hands-on experience and in-depth technical knowledge of SQL programming
• Hands-on experience with a self-serve BI tool (Tableau or others)
• Experience with extracting and modeling datasets with database queries and environment (Hadoop/Spark)
• Experience with programming languages (e.g. PySpark mandatory, Python, Java)
• Experience in managing agile implementation cycles and rollouts
• Self-motivated, proactive, get-things-done team member who lives to improve data quality and drive results
