About The Department

You will be joining our Finance Global Business Services (GBS) team in Bangalore. Established in 2007, Finance GBS is responsible for supporting various finance functions for Novo Nordisk globally. Commercial Analytics, which is part of Finance GBS, was founded in 2013 with the goal of providing best-in-class analytical services and insights to the global organization. Our team is dedicated to delivering superior service to our stakeholders and adding value through standardization and efficiency.

The position

As a Senior Associate II in our Finance GBS team, youll be at the heart of ensuring financial accuracy and compliance across our global operations. Your work will directly support Emerging Markets affiliates, handling critical accounting processes that keep our business running smoothly.

Your Day-to-day Responsibilities Will Include

  • Handling general accounting tasks including posting of incoming and outgoing payments, cash application, GL postings, invoicing, and reconciliations
  • Performing month-end close activities and supporting Emerging Markets affiliates with their financial operations
  • Managing bank reconciliations including Sarbanes-Oxley controls, with daily identification, research and follow-up of payments
  • Processing intercompany transactions, ensuring accurate reconciliation between buying and selling entities
  • Executing month-end activities including inventory reporting, period management, depreciation posting, and trial balance reporting
  • Maintaining accurate documentation and ensuring compliance with audit requirements

Qualifications

Were looking for an experienced finance professional who thrives in a structured, detail-oriented environment and enjoys working with international stakeholders. To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Bachelor of Commerce or equivalent degree
  • 6+ years of experience within an accounting/finance function from a larger organization
  • Strong experience working with SAP ERP system, specifically FI/CO and SD modules
  • Proven experience with banking systems including international bank transfers and reconciliations
  • Solid background in accounts receivable tasks, intercompany transactions and reconciliations
  • Good knowledge of accounting documentation, transaction linking, Sarbanes-Oxley approach and audit material preparation
  • Experience with general ledger accounting in a global company is preferred
  • Experience with system interfaces to ERP is advantageous
