Operations Executive

City Greens is a fast-growing AgriTech startup building automation and AI-driven solutions for Controlled Environment Agriculture (CEA). As we scale our products and deployments across India, we need a sharp, organised operations person to keep the engine running — from procurement and admin to e-commerce and cross-office coordination.

Role overview

This is a generalist operations role based out of our Bengaluru head office. You will support procurement, admin, e-commerce operations, and coordinate with our field teams and other company offices. No two days look the same — you will be expected to handle diverse tasks, follow through reliably, and keep things moving without needing to be chased.

What you will do

Procurement & vendor management

Source and procure components, materials, and supplies for hardware, office, and project needs. Coordinate with vendors, track orders, manage delivery timelines, and maintain procurement records.

E-commerce operations (Amazon)

Manage day-to-day Amazon seller operations — listings, inventory updates, order processing, returns, and customer queries. Ensure stock availability and fulfilment timelines are met consistently.

Office admin & facilities

Handle day-to-day office administration — inventory of consumables, courier and logistics coordination, vendor payments, documentation, and general office upkeep. Support onboarding logistics for new team members.

Cross-office & site coordination

Act as the operational link between Bengaluru HQ and other company offices and customer installation sites. Coordinate material dispatches, logistics, documentation, and ensure teams on the ground have what they need.

Requirements

Who this role is for

  • Fresh graduates from any discipline — engineering, commerce, BBA, or any other stream
  • People who are organised, detail-oriented, and follow through on tasks without reminders
  • Individuals comfortable working across multiple functions — no narrow job description mentality
  • Candidates who can communicate clearly with vendors, field teams, and internal stakeholders
  • Self-starters who take initiative and flag problems early

Key skills & traits

Required

  • Strong organisational and follow-up skills
  • Comfortable with spreadsheets, email, and basic office tools
  • Clear written and verbal communication in English and Kannada / Hindi
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise under pressure
  • Reliable and accountable — does what they say they will do

Good to have

  • Prior exposure to Amazon Seller Central or any e-commerce platform
  • Experience in procurement, supply chain, or vendor coordination
  • Familiarity with GST invoicing, purchase orders, and basic accounting
  • Experience in a startup or fast-paced environment

Benefits

Internship-to-full-time pathway

This role begins as a 3-month onsite internship — unpaid, evaluated on reliability, ownership, and real contribution. Candidates who demonstrate consistent performance will be offered a full-time position.

₹25,000 / month
