- Monitor daily backup jobs and alerts across platforms (servers, databases, VMs, cloud workloads); triage failures and perform first-line fixes or escalations per runbooks.
- Execute and document restore tests; validate data integrity and recovery times against RPO/RTO targets.
- Assist with agent deployments, repository capacity checks, offsite/air-gapped copy processes, and media handling.
- Help build and maintain DR runbooks, application dependency maps, and recovery procedures.
- Coordinate and participate in DR exercises (tabletop and technical); collect evidence, track issues, and follow up on remediation.
- Support failover/failback activities under guidance; verify service health and data consistency post-recovery.
- Contribute to business impact assessments (BIA) and resiliency risk registers; capture single points of failure, control gaps, and mitigation plans.
- Maintain resiliency metrics and reporting (backup success rate, restore test pass rate, DR readiness, audit findings status).
- Support compliance and audits by providing documented evidence, access reviews, and control testing (e.g., backup encryption, retention, offsite copies).
- Assist in scripting and automation (PowerShell, Bash, Python) to improve monitoring, reporting, and repeatable recovery steps.
