Job Summary

The Standard India is seeking an AI Model Validation Lead IV to join our forward-thinking Artificial Intelligence team and help ensure the safe, effective, and responsible deployment of AI solutions across the enterprise.

In this role, you will play a key part in establishing and executing validation practices for AI, Generative AI, and emerging Agentic AI solutions. You will evaluate model performance, reliability, explainability, and overall effectiveness while supporting governance, monitoring, and risk management activities throughout the AI lifecycle.

You will help define validation methodologies, establish monitoring and performance metrics, conduct independent validation reviews, and provide recommendations to support informed deployment decisions. This role will also contribute to the development of scalable validation and monitoring capabilities as AI adoption continues to expand across the organization.

In collaboration with Data Science, Product Management, Engineering, Risk, Compliance, and Business teams, you will help ensure AI solutions meet established standards for quality, performance, and responsible use. Regular communication and presentations with stakeholders will be essential to convey validation results, insights, and recommendations.

Mode of Working: This role follows a hybrid work model, with a primary base in Bengaluru. While on-site presence is essential for key engagements, flexibility is offered for remote work based on business needs and team alignment.

Skills And Background You’ll Need

Education: A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field is required. A Master's degree is preferred.

Required Experience: 6-8 years of proven experience in AI model validation, model governance, machine learning, data science, or a related role.

• Established understanding of machine learning algorithms, model evaluation techniques, statistical methods, and AI performance measurement.
• Experience assessing AI solutions for accuracy, robustness, explainability, fairness, and overall model effectiveness.
• Experience validating Generative AI, Agentic AI, and autonomous workflows, including human-in-the-loop controls, escalation paths, auditability, and operational risk.
• Experience building model monitoring frameworks and performance dashboards.
• Demonstrated experience with dashboarding and reporting tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI, or custom-built dashboards).
• Experience collaborating with data scientists, engineers, product teams, and business stakeholders throughout the AI lifecycle.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to communicate validation results and insights to both technical and non-technical audiences. Strong analytical skills to evaluate model performance, identify risks, and recommend improvements. Critical thinking and attention to detail with the ability to independently assess AI solutions and validation outcomes.
• Strong collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams. Ability to influence decision-making through clear, data-driven recommendations and validation findings.
• Ability to define and evaluate monitoring metrics, performance thresholds, and model health indicators.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple validation activities simultaneously. Preferred Experience:
• Experience with AI governance frameworks, model risk management practices, or Responsible AI programs.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python or R.
• Familiarity with machine learning platforms and libraries (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, Scikit-learn, Databricks, Azure AI, or similar technologies).
• Familiarity with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG), and Agentic AI concepts.
• Experience working in regulated industries such as insurance, financial services, healthcare, or similar environments.
