Overview

We are seeking a Structural BIM Lead to join our GTC Canada BIM team, supporting the design and delivery of complex structural systems across various industrial projects. In this role, the candidate will manage and optimise Revit/CAD structural environments, ensuring efficient workflows, standardisation, and compliance with project and industry requirements. The candidate should have strong interpersonal, organisational and communication skills and be able to maintain BIM model quality processes.

You will be responsible for creating and maintaining symbol libraries, templates, and databases, configuring project settings, and troubleshooting software issues to enable seamless collaboration. Additionally, you will lead automation initiatives, integrate engineering design data with other platforms, and support digital delivery strategies for smarter, connected solutions. The candidate will also actively support project teams on proposal and project delivery tasks.

Ideal candidates should have a Diploma/B.E/B.Tech in Civil Engineering, with 7–15 years experience delivering multidisciplinary projects, strong knowledge of Revit/CAD functionalities, Navisworks & CDE platforms, and a passion for improving design efficiency through technology and innovation.

Your role

  • Should be able to produce structural drawings and BIM model with minimum supervision.
  • Should be able to maintain BIM model quality process.
  • Should be able to share the best practice to the wider team.
  • Should have experience in understanding the coordination process with engineers.
  • Able to attend the meeting with the internal and external clients and maintaining the Minutes of meetings.
  • Should be able to mentor graduate and junior BIM engineer.
  • Coordination of CAD and BIM model input to multi-disciplinary projects.
  • Should be well versed with AutoCAD.

About You

Qualification

  • Diploma/Degree with minimum 5years of relevant experience.

Requirements

  • Knowledge of multidisciplinary and multiregional project to comply with the relevant CAD/BIM Standard.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in Revit environment for senior role and at least 5 years of experience in Revit for intermediate role.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to work using engineers calculations and design in producing drawings / 3D modelling.
  • Knowledge of Building design process working within a multiple discipline engineering environment and within a project and commercially focused business.
  • Identify, Interpret, and apply required industry/client/Internal CAD/BIM standards. To ensure that our finished product is project, Client, and BIM complaint.
  • Work independently and take proactive initiative.
  • Self -motivated development.

  • Able to present/represent their technical work.
  • Shows flexibility in work tasks and locations.
  • Responsible for completion of specifically assigned tasks to time and cost.
