About The Role

We are seeking a proactive and solution-oriented Junior Software Developer to join our Test & Evaluation team. This role focuses on developing software tools and practical solutions to support testing, verification, and validation activities across various engineering setups.

The ideal candidate is someone who enjoys solving real-world engineering problems, working closely with multiple departments, and expanding their technical skill set beyond core software development into test systems, automation, and validation environments.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain software tools and utilities to support test and evaluation activities.
• Design and implement automation scripts and data-processing tools (Python/C/C++) for test execution and reporting.
• Support verification and validation (V&V) activities by developing scripts, test aids, and result analysis tools.
• Participate in test execution, including running procedures, collecting logs, analyzing outputs, and reporting anomalies.
• Contribute to the setup, configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance of test benches and lab environments.
• Deploy and maintain software solutions for diverse test setups and real-world evaluation scenarios.
• Collaborate closely with Software, Systems, QA, and Compliance teams to ensure alignment between development and validation objectives.
• Assist in documenting test procedures, validation reports, and internal tool architectures.
• Apply structured problem-solving and sound software design principles when developing scalable internal tools.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve testing efficiency through automation and process enhancement.
  
  

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electronics, or a related engineering field.
• Strong proficiency in C and C++.
• Working knowledge of Python for automation, scripting, and data analysis.
• Understanding of software testing fundamentals and verification & validation concepts.
• Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
• Strong analytical and debugging skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate across departments.
• A proactive mindset and eagerness to expand skill sets across software, testing, and system-level domains.
  
  

• Experience developing internal tools for test automation or reporting.
• Exposure to hardware test environments, integration labs, or system-level validation setups.
• Working knowledge of software design principles to effectively interface with cross-functional teams and contribute to solution architecture discussions.
• Familiarity with documentation tools (Markdown, Sphinx, LaTeX).
• Understanding of structured development lifecycles, especially in regulated or safety-critical domains.
