Job Description

Position: IOS Developer

Experience: 4 to 7 Yrs

iOS Application Development

• Develop, maintain, and optimize iOS applications using Objective-C.
• Manage complete App Life Cycle including design, development, testing, deployment, and App Store release.
• Implement and manage Memory Management using ARC (Automatic Reference Counting).
• Work with GCD (Grand Central Dispatch) for effective threading, concurrency, and task scheduling.
• Handle Event Handlers, App Delegates, and system callbacks efficiently.
  
  

Hybrid App & Web Integration

• Integrate web applications using WKWebView and build hybrid app architectures.
• Implement communication between web apps and native apps through JavaScript calls, iFrames, and message handlers.
• Consume RESTful Web APIs within the app, ensuring secure and optimized data flow.
  
  

Database & Data Handling

• Use SQLite for local data storage and offline capabilities.
• Apply appropriate data structure concepts to improve app performance.
  
  

Notifications & Background Services

• Implement Apple Push Notification Service (APNS) and Web Push Notifications.
• Manage notification handling in both foreground and background states.
  
  

Design Patterns & Architecture

• Apply OOP principles in Objective-C.
• Implement design patterns such as Singleton, Observer, and others as needed.
• Identify and prevent issues like deadlocks, improper semaphore usage, and threading bottlenecks.
  
  

Device & SDK Integrations

• Integrate third-party or proprietary device SDKs into the app (e.g., card readers, scanners, medical devices).
  
  

UI/UX Development

• Develop UI using Storyboards, Auto-layout, and UIKit components.
• Ensure smooth and responsive user experiences across devices.
  
  

Required Skills & Qualifications

• Strong experience in Objective-C
• Solid understanding of iOS frameworks, app architecture, and design principles.
• Hands-on experience with WKWebView, hybrid app bridging, and JS-native communication.
• Excellent knowledge of GCD, threading, concurrency, and performance optimisation.
• Deep understanding of OOP concepts, design patterns, and software best practices.
• Experience with SQLite, REST API integration, and JSON/XML handling.
• Knowledge of APNS, push notifications, and background execution modes.
• Experience debugging memory leaks, race conditions, deadlocks, and performance issues.
• Familiarity with device SDK integrations.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in fast-paced environments.
