Job Description: Senior Associate – React.JS

Role Overview: We are looking for a highly skilled and motivated Senior Associate to join our development team at the PwC Acceleration Centre. In this role, you will play a critical part in delivering high-quality, scalable front-end solutions. You will combine your hands-on coding expertise with technical leadership, guiding junior team members, enforcing best practices, and ensuring the delivery of robust, user-centric applications. This is an ideal role for an experienced developer who is ready to take on more complex problem-solving and mentoring responsibilities within a fast-paced, client-focused environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Technical Delivery: Lead the development of complex, responsive, and scalable front-end components using React.js, ensuring high performance and seamless user experiences.
  • Mentorship & Collaboration: Act as a technical mentor to junior associates, conducting code reviews, sharing knowledge on best practices, and fostering a culture of continuous technical improvement.
  • Execution Excellence: Work closely with cross-functional teams (Product Owners, UX Designers, and Backend Engineers) to translate requirements into technical specifications and functional code.
  • Standards & Quality: Enforce coding standards, perform thorough unit testing, and contribute to the maintenance of shared component libraries and design systems to ensure consistency across projects.
  • Problem Solving: Troubleshoot complex front-end issues, optimize application performance, and provide innovative solutions to technical challenges.
  • Stakeholder Interaction: Clearly communicate technical progress, risks, and blockers to project leads and stakeholders. Participate in Agile ceremonies (Scrum/Kanban) to ensure sprint goals are met.
  • Continuous Improvement: Stay updated with the latest front-end trends and libraries, proactively suggesting improvements to current development workflows and architectures.

Required Skills (Must-Haves):

  • Experience: 4–8 years of professional experience in front-end development.
  • Core Tech Stack: Expert-level proficiency in React.js and its ecosystem (Redux, Context API, Hooks, etc.), JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3/SASS.
  • Development Practices: Deep understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies, CI/CD pipelines, and version control (Git).
  • UI/UX Implementation: Strong experience in implementing responsive designs and translating wireframes/prototypes (Figma/Adobe XD) into high-fidelity code.
  • Accessibility & Performance: Strong knowledge of web accessibility standards (WCAG) and performance optimization techniques (lazy loading, code splitting, memoization).
  • Soft Skills: Excellent analytical, communication, and interpersonal skills; ability to work effectively in a collaborative, global team environment.

Preferred Skills (Good-to-Haves):

  • Experience in building and maintaining reusable Design Systems or Component Libraries (e.g., Storybook).
  • Familiarity with state management libraries beyond React (e.g., Zustand, Recoil, or React Query).
  • Experience with unit testing frameworks (Jest, React Testing Library, Cypress).
  • Exposure to server-side rendering (Next.js) or micro-frontend architectures.
  • Awareness of Generative AI tools and concepts to enhance development productivity.

Education Requirements:

  • BE / B.Tech / MCA / M.Sc / M.E / M.Tech / MBA or any equivalent degree from a reputed institute.
