We are looking for a Counselling Psychologist who can offer compassionate support and therapeutic guidance to individuals and couples, primarily in the preconception phase, but also through pregnancy and early parenting.
In this role, you’ll help our users navigate emotional challenges, manage stress and anxiety, and feel deeply supported in their journey to and through parenthood.
Responsibilities
1:1 Counselling Sessions: Conduct personalized sessions with individuals or couples, helping them address emotional challenges such as anxiety, stress, grief, relationship strain, and uncertainty during their fertility/pregnancy/parenting journey.
Emotional Support: Provide a safe, non-judgmental space for couples to process their emotions and experiences, acting as a consistent emotional support system.
Mental Health Interventions: Use therapeutic techniques grounded in CBT, mindfulness, or other evidence-based approaches to manage stress, anxiety, depression, or trauma related to fertility issues.
Progress Tracking: Maintain detailed session notes, track couples’ progress, and adjust therapy plans as needed to suit the evolving emotional needs of the couple.
Couple Education: Educate couples on mental health tools and coping strategies that can support their emotional resilience during the ups and downs of treatments and waiting periods.
Relationship Support: Assist couples in strengthening communication and emotional bonding through joint counselling, helping them manage relationship dynamics affected by fertility/pregnancy/parenting challenges.
Coordination with Care Team: Collaborate with other professionals (medical consultants and health coaches) to ensure holistic care and a seamless support system for each couples.
Content Ideation: Contribute to resource development, supportive content, emotional well-being toolkits, journaling prompts, etc., for couples on the platform.
Calendar & Confidentiality: Manage appointments efficiently while ensuring strict confidentiality and ethical handling of sensitive client information.
Qualifications
Master’s degree in Counselling Psychology, Clinical Psychology, or a related field (M.Phil or licensed RCI registration preferred).
Minimum 3 years of proven experience in counselling individuals or couples, preferably in the context of fertility, women’s health, or trauma-informed care.
Strong knowledge of psychological challenges in fertility treatments, pregnancy mental health, and parental adjustment.
Empathetic, patient, and culturally sensitive with strong verbal and written communication skills.
Adept at building therapeutic relationships and maintaining professional boundaries.
Commitment to continuous learning and staying current with psychological research, especially in reproductive mental health.
