Brokerage Assistant

Export Cargo Location: Bangalore Airport Department

We are seeking a detail oriented and proactive professional to manage backend operations for export cargo customs clearance. The role involves ensuring compliance with customs regulations, accurate documentation, and seamless coordination between internal teams, customers, and authorities. Key Responsibilities:

• Verify the export documents and prepare checklist as per export compliance requirements.
• Coordinate with customer for checklist approval & required documents.
• Accurately file shipping bills and related documents on the ICEGATE portal.
• Respond promptly to customs queries and resolve issues to avoid delays.
• Communicate with clients regarding documentation, shipment status.
• Monitor cargo movement and ensure timely updates to stakeholders.
• Maintain and share daily status reports (DSR) for all export shipments.
• Dispatch final documents (Post Shipment Documents) to customers after clearance.
• Prepare and submit Terminal Handling Charges details accurately.
• Ensure adherence to customs regulations and maintain proper records for audits. Skills & Qualifications:
• Educational: Graduate in Commerce, Logistics, or related field.
• Experience: 1–3 years in customs brokerage/export operations preferred.
• Technical Skills: Familiarity with ICEGATE portal, MS Excel, and EDI systems.
• Knowledge: Indian Customs Act, Export documentation, HS codes.
• Soft Skills: Attention to detail, problem solving, communication, and time management. Key Competencies:
• Strong understanding of export customs clearance processes.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict timelines.
• Customer centric approach with effective coordination skills.
