Your role

• Understands design requirements and has knowledge of associated consultants/contractors and their level of involvement in the project.
• Notifies senior team members of design requirements and highlights risks and early warnings.
• Aware of a range of materials and suppliers as required.
• Capable of checking drawings and understanding applicable standards and documentation.
• Assists senior team members in ensuring compliance.
• Actively involved in project administration processes, including:
• Scope analysis
• Time estimation
• Technical design development
• Identifying early risks and warnings
• Preparing feasibility studies to support the technical lead
• Ability to refer to applicable approved documents and regulations to verify compliance with guidelines and norms.
• Understands project specifications and maintains professional relationships with team members and stakeholders.
• Continues to develop project administration knowledge through ongoing project work.
• Awareness of local planning authority procedures.
• Assists senior team members in preparing feasibility studies and documentation.
• Supports development of concept design options under senior supervision.
• Assists in estimating hours per drawing and participates in project setup meetings (including preparing minutes).
• Produces area/accommodation schedules and continues to build project administration expertise.
  

About You

• Revit:
• Assists in setting up multidisciplinary models and managing worksets.
• Performs clash detection within and across disciplines.
• Uses massing tools for concept and scheme design.
• Applies design options to test multiple design solutions simultaneously.
• Creates parametric families to enhance flexibility.
• Links drawings to specifications using keynoting.
• Advanced proficiency in Autodesk tools (certification preferred).
• Basic knowledge of Navisworks and awareness of Dynamo.
• Awareness of AutoCAD, SketchUp, Photoshop, InDesign, and Enscape is preferred.
  

Architecture, Construction & Technology

• Able to read and interpret client mark-ups and address them accurately without supervision.
• Prepares clear mark-ups for revision by team members or junior staff and reviews mark-ups completed by junior team members.
• Good understanding of construction sequences and the use of various building elements.
• Familiar with technical terminology related to building components.
• Competent in understanding requirements of other disciplines and supporting senior staff.
• Continues to develop knowledge of drawing information through project progression.
• Possesses good knowledge of materials and their applications in construction.
• Takes initiative to research materials and demonstrates enthusiasm to learn under minimal supervision.
• Continues to develop material knowledge throughout project work.

• Strong ability to read and understand drawings, including orientation and information content.
• Competent in producing detailed drawings with minimal supervision.
• Able to annotate drawings with appropriate notes and specification clauses.
• Provides mark-ups and comments for junior team members.
• Participates in regular coordination discussions with internal teams and other disciplines.
• Clear knowledge of different packages and their applications.
• Capable of interrogating information and producing drawings independently with minimal guidance or mark-ups from seniors.
• Able to identify and highlight discrepancies.
• Possesses knowledge of package detailing and buildability.
• Capable of developing sketches for junior team members.
• Takes initiative in researching products and gathering information from manufacturers and consultants.
