Job Description

The Pipeline Pre-Commissioning Foreman is responsible for overseeing and coordinating the safe and efficient execution of pipeline pre-commissioning activities, including cleaning, gauging, hydrotesting, dewatering, drying, and inerting. This role ensures compliance with project procedures and reports to the Pre-Commissioning Supervisor and Engineer.

• Operational Oversight: Coordinate all pre-commissioning operations, including pipeline cleaning, gauging, flooding, hydrotesting, dewatering, drying, and nitrogen purging, ensuring adherence to project approved procedures.
• Team Leadership: Manage and direct a team of technicians, operators and helpers, assigning tasks, monitoring performance, and ensuring safe work practices are followed.
• Compliance: Ensure all activities comply with company specifications (e.g., AGES-SP-10-014), industry standards (e.g., DNVGL-ST-F101), and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.
• Equipment Management: Oversee the selection, inspection, and operation of pre-commissioning equipment, including PIGs, pumps, compressors, and testing instruments, ensuring proper maintenance and functionality.
• Coordination: Collaborate with project engineers, and third-party contractors to align on project objectives and technical requirements.
• Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all pre-commissioning activities, including test results, equipment logs, and ensuring traceability and adherence to operational procedures.
• Risk Management: Identify potential risks during pre-commissioning operations and implement mitigation measures to ensure safety and project success.
• Reporting: Provide regular updates to the Pre-Commissioning Supervisor/Engineer on progress, challenges, and resource requirements, escalating issues as needed.
