Forward Deployed Engineer

We're looking for a Forward-Deployed Engineer to work directly with our most strategic customers, embedding themselves with their teams to design, build, and ship production solutions on top of our platform. You'll operate at the intersection of engineering, product, and customer success, translating ambiguous, high-stakes business problems into working software, often under tight timelines and with incomplete requirements. This is a hands-on build role, not a pre-sales or support role.

Responsibilities

• Embed directly with customer teams (on-site or remote) to understand their workflows, data, and business problems firsthand.
• Design and build custom applications, integrations, and pipelines on top of our platform to solve real customer problems quickly.
• Rapidly prototype solutions with customers, iterate based on direct feedback, and productionise what works.
• Own the full delivery lifecycle: scoping, architecture, implementation, deployment, and handoff/documentation.
• Act as the technical voice of the customer, internally surfacing product gaps, edge cases, and feature requests to product and engineering teams.
• Build reusable tools, templates, and accelerators that reduce time-to-value for future deployments.
• Debug and resolve complex, ambiguous technical issues that span the customer's stack and our platform.
• Travel to customer sites as needed to run workshops, war rooms, and go-live support.
• Partner closely with Sales, Solutions Architecture, and Product to identify and close expansion opportunities driven by delivered value.
  
  

• 4+ years of experience as a software engineer, solutions engineer, or similar hands-on technical role, ideally in a customer-facing capacity.
• Strong full-stack or backend engineering skills (e. g., Python, TypeScript/JavaScript, Go, or similar) and comfort working across unfamiliar codebases.
• Proven ability to work independently in ambiguous, fast-moving environments with limited specs.
• Excellent communication skills, able to explain technical trade-offs clearly to both engineers and business stakeholders.
• Experience with APIs, data integration, and building production-grade software under real-world constraints.
• Comfort with frequent travel and working on-site with customers for extended engagements.
• A bias toward action: shipping a working solution quickly, then iterating, rather than waiting for perfect requirements.
  
  

• Experience with LLM/AI application development (RAG pipelines, agents, prompt engineering, evals).
• Background in a regulated or enterprise industry (finance, healthcare, government, logistics).
• Experience as a founding engineer, consultant, or at a systems integrator working on custom client builds.
• Familiarity with cloud infrastructure and deployment (AWS/GCP/Azure, Kubernetes, Terraform).
• Prior experience in a forward-deployed engineer, solutions engineer, or implementation engineer role.
