Job Description
- Perform comprehensive microscopic and laboratory analysis of tissue biopsies, blood smears, and cytological specimens.
- Interpret histopathological and cytopathological findings to support accurate disease diagnosis.
- Conduct and evaluate immunohistochemical stains and molecular pathology tests for tumor characterization.
- Perform and analyze blood smear examinations to detect hematological abnormalities.
- Carry out microbiological testing and culture sensitivity analysis to identify infectious agents.
- Interpret clinical biochemistry results in the context of patient pathology and disease progression.
- Conduct tumor marker analysis to aid in cancer diagnosis, staging, and monitoring.
- Perform autopsies and prepare detailed post-mortem reports in accordance with legal and medical standards.
- Maintain and ensure compliance with laboratory quality control protocols and accreditation standards.
- Collaborate with clinicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to provide diagnostic insights.
- Participate in internal audits, continuous quality improvement initiatives, and staff training programs.
- Stay updated with advancements in diagnostic techniques, emerging pathogens, and regulatory guidelines.
