Mechanical Engineer

Core Responsibilities

• Preventive & Breakdown Maintenance: Execute and oversee Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedules to minimize downtime. Swiftly address mechanical, electrical, and plumbing breakdowns.
• Equipment Upkeep: Maintain highly specialized distillery assets, including milling/mash equipment, fermenters, distillation columns, reboilers, and condensers.
• Utility Management: Oversee the continuous operation of supporting utilities like boilers, chilling systems, Water Treatment plants (RO), air compressors, and Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP).
• Compliance & Safety: Enforce strict Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) standards, specifically handling volatile alcohol and hazardous waste safely.
• Documentation & Spares: Maintain maintenance logs, track Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF), and manage engineering spare parts inventory.
  
  

• Technical Knowledge: Strong foundation in industrial mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation principles.
• Distillery Specifics: Hands-on knowledge of process control, pumping systems (centrifugal/positive displacement), and piping layouts.
• Qualifications: Degree (B.E./B.Tech) or Diploma in Mechanical, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering.
  
  

• Equipment Downtime: Percentage reduction in unplanned production halts.
• PPM Schedule Adherence: Rate of completion for planned maintenance tasks on time.
• Safety Incidents: Zero workplace safety or environmental violations.
