To lead and manage end-to-end bottling operations, ensuring achievement of production targets, product quality, statutory compliance, cost optimization, safety, and continuous improvement while maintaining high operational efficiency in an IMFL/Distillery bottling plant.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and supervise overall bottling operations including blending, filtration, filling, capping, labeling, packaging, and dispatch coordination.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly production plans to meet business requirements.
Ensure optimum utilization of bottling lines, manpower, and machinery to maximize productivity and minimize downtime.
Monitor production KPIs such as OEE, line efficiency, wastage, rejection, and yield.
Ensure compliance with Excise regulations, SOPs, GMP, HACCP, FSSAI (where applicable), and company quality standards.
Coordinate with QA, Engineering, Warehouse, Maintenance, Purchase, and Logistics for uninterrupted production.
Drive preventive maintenance planning and minimize machine breakdowns.
Ensure timely availability of raw materials and packaging materials.
Lead cost reduction, productivity improvement, TPM, Lean Manufacturing, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Ensure compliance with Safety, Health, and Environment (EHS) requirements and conduct regular safety reviews.
Manage manpower deployment, shift planning, contractor workforce, and employee development.
Review production reports, MIS, and statutory documentation.
Support internal, customer, ISO, and Excise audits and ensure timely closure of observations.
Qualification
B.E./B.Tech (Mechanical, Chemical, Production, Industrial Engineering) or equivalent.
MBA (Operations) is desirable.
Experience
12–18 years of experience in IMFL, Distillery, Brewery, Beverage, or FMCG manufacturing.
Minimum 5 years in a leadership role handling multiple bottling lines and large production teams.
