Job Description

The Reservations Manager plays a crucial role in the hospitality industry, overseeing the booking operations at a hotel, resort, or hospitality company. This position requires an individual with exceptional organizational, customer service, and communication skills, as they are responsible for managing the reservations team and ensuring smooth and efficient booking processes. The Reservations Manager must be adept with reservation systems, possess strong analytical skills to forecast and maximize room revenue, and have the ability to train and motivate a team. Additionally, they act as the primary liaison between guests and the hotel, ensuring that all reservations are handled with the utmost care and professionalism. This role demands a detail-oriented individual who can work in a fast-paced environment to meet and exceed guest expectations while maintaining the company's standards and policies.


Responsibilities

  • Supervise and manage the reservations team to ensure efficient operations.
  • Oversee the day-to-day reservation activities, including booking and revenue tracking.
  • Ensure visitors are greeted and assisted with the reservation process smoothly.
  • Monitor reservation calls and emails to maintain high customer satisfaction.
  • Implement and uphold hotel policies and procedures concerning reservations.
  • Coordinate with sales and marketing departments to maximize room bookings.
  • Analyze booking trends to enhance and adjust pricing strategies accordingly.
  • Provide training and support to the reservations team to improve service quality.
  • Assist in handling guest complaints and resolve issues in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and maintain accurate reports related to availability and occupancy.
  • Ensure the reservation system is updated with accurate and current information.
  • Coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance for special guest arrangements.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a hotel reservations role.
  • Strong understanding of reservation software and hotel management systems.
  • Excellent leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills for guest interaction.
  • Ability to analyze data and make strategic decisions for revenue management.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.
