MYSQL DBA

• Administer and support MySQL databases across production and non-production environments.
• Manage GCP Cloud SQL (MySQL/PostgreSQL), including provisioning, scaling, high availability, replication, backup, and recovery
• Lead database migration initiatives from on-premises to cloud platforms using GCP migration services
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC) solutions using Terraform for automated database provisioning and management
• Optimize database performance through query tuning, indexing, and capacity planning
• Support analytics and reporting workloads using BigQuery and related GCP services
• Implement high availability, disaster recovery, monitoring, and security best practices
• Collaborate with DevOps, application, and platform teams to deliver reliable database services

Responsibilities

• Strong experience in MySQL Database Administration.
• Hands-on expertise with GCP Cloud SQL, BigQuery, and cloud database operations
• Experience with Terraform, CI/CD, and infrastructure automation
• Knowledge of database migration, replication, backup/recovery, and HA/DR solutions
• Proficiency in SQL, Linux, and Shell scripting
• Good understanding of database security, monitoring, and performance optimization

Qualifications

Exposure to PostgreSQL, Cloud Spanner, ETL tools, and GitHub Copilot.
