ICU Nurse (225-703)

Responsibilities

• Monitor and assess the vital signs of critically ill patients on a regular basis.
• Administer medications and intravenous therapies in accordance with physician orders.
• Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to devise patient care plans.
• Provide emotional and educational support to patients and their families.
• Manage life-support equipment such as ventilators and monitors with precision and care.
• Prepare and maintain accurate and detailed patient records and reports.
• Respond swiftly and efficiently to emergency situations to ensure patient safety.
• Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and update treatment plans as needed.
• Adhere to infection control protocols to ensure a safe and sterile environment.
• Participate in training and development programs to stay current with best practices.
• Assist in the orientation and training of new ICU nursing personnel effectively.
• Communicate effectively with team members to ensure coordinated care delivery.

Requirements

• Minimum of two years of experience in an acute care or hospital setting.
• Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills crucial for patient care.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for patient and team interactions.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays, as needed.
• Demonstrated ability to work under high-pressure situations with poise and professionalism.
