Job Description

The Garments Accessories Purchase Executive plays a crucial role in the procurement process within the fashion and apparel industry. This position requires a keen understanding of the garments manufacturing process and an ability to source, negotiate, and manage the supply of essential accessories that complement the final apparel products. The individual will work closely with vendors and suppliers to ensure the timely and cost-effective delivery of quality materials while maintaining strong relationships. This position demands excellent organizational, negotiation, and analytical skills to coordinate effectively with various departments, such as design, production, and finance, ensuring that all accessory needs are met according to production schedules and quality standards.


Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with design and production teams to identify accessory needs for garments.
  • Source and evaluate potential suppliers for quality and cost standards.
  • Drive negotiation processes to obtain the best terms and pricing from suppliers.
  • Manage and maintain strong relationships with existing suppliers and vendors.
  • Monitor and manage inventory levels to ensure timely replenishments and avoid shortages.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry regulations in all procurement activities.
  • Analyze market trends and conditions to predict potential supply and demand changes.
  • Prepare and manage purchase orders and ensure accurate documentation is maintained.
  • Collaborate with the finance department to reconcile invoices and payments efficiently.
  • Assess supplier performance and provide feedback for continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support cost reduction initiatives while maintaining quality and delivery objectives.
  • Conduct routine meetings with suppliers to discuss contract terms, delivery times, and performance reviews.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, or a related field.
  • Minimum of three years of experience in purchasing or procurement in the apparel industry.
  • Strong knowledge of garment manufacturing processes and accessory components.
  • Excellent negotiation skills and experience working with international suppliers.
  • Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills for supplier and team interactions.
  • Strong analytical abilities to assess market trends and supplier capabilities.
