SAP DMC Consultant – AMS Support

Role Overview

The SAP Digital Manufacturing Cloud (DMC) Consultant – AMS is responsible for providing application support, troubleshooting, and continuous improvements for manufacturing operations running on SAP Digital Manufacturing Cloud. The consultant ensures smooth integration between shop floor systems and enterprise applications such as SAP S/4HANA and SAP Manufacturing Execution.

This role focuses on incident management, system enhancements, monitoring integrations, and supporting production environments in an AMS model.

Key Responsibilities

Application Support

Provide L2/L3 production support for manufacturing processes within SAP Digital Manufacturing Cloud.

Analyze and resolve incidents, service requests, and problem tickets raised by business users.

Troubleshoot issues related to:

Production order execution

Shop floor operations

Work center activities

Data collection and manufacturing confirmations

System Monitoring & Issue Resolution

Monitor system interfaces between SAP Digital Manufacturing Cloud and SAP ECC.

Perform root cause analysis (RCA) for production and integration issues.

Support batch jobs, message queues, and data synchronization.

Configuration & Enhancements

Configure and maintain:

Production processes

Shop floor PODs (Production Operator Dashboards)

Work centers and resources

Data collection parameters

Support minor enhancements and change requests in the DMC environment.

Integration Support

Support integration with:

SAP ECC

SAP Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence

Third-party shop floor systems and IoT devices

Troubleshoot interfaces using APIs and message services.

Required Skills

Good knowledge of SAP Digital Manufacturing Cloud

Experience with:

Manufacturing execution processes

Production orders and shop floor execution

Production Operator Dashboards (PODs)

Data collection and production confirmations

Understanding of manufacturing processes and shop floor operations

Knowledge of integration with SAP S/4HANA

Experience working in AMS support environments (incident & change management)
