AliveCor is seeking a motivated and skilled Product Designer to join our team. We are looking for a collaborative partner who is ready to jump in, manage a dynamic workload, and help us deliver exceptional mobile experiences.

In this role, your primary focus will be designing the screens, flows, and interactions for the AliveCor mobile applications on iOS and Android. You will work hands-on to translate complex health data into clear, user-friendly interfaces, ensuring that every design helps users manage their heart health while supporting our broader business goals.

What You Will Do

Design and ship end-to-end mobile experiences for our core apps, moving efficiently from initial concepts and user flows to polished, high-fidelity screens ready for development.

Manage ambiguity and a large workload by breaking down complex or undefined requirements into clear, actionable design solutions. You will be expected to prioritize your tasks effectively to keep projects moving forward.

Demonstrate a willingness to jump in and get things done. Whether it is polishing a final screen, helping a teammate, or tackling a quick fix to meet a deadline, you step up when the team needs you.

Act as a true partner to product managers and engineers. You will not just execute tickets; you will collaborate deeply to understand the problem, offer solutions, and ensure the final product is both viable and valuable.

Apply your strong soft skills to communicate your design rationale clearly. You should be able to advocate for the user while remaining open to feedback and business constraints.

Connect your design work to high-level metrics. You will learn to understand how specific interface decisions impact user retention and engagement, and use that knowledge to refine your work.

Who You Are

A mobile-focused designer with 2-3 years of experience specifically building mobile apps. You understand the nuances of iOS and Android guidelines and how to design for the constraints of small screens.

Someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can maintain high quality even when managing multiple projects or a heavy workload.

A strong communicator who values collaboration over ego. You listen well, ask good questions, and build trust with your cross-functional partners.

Eager to learn and grow. You have a genuine desire to understand the business side of the company and the technical side of the product to become a more well-rounded designer.

Practical and solution-oriented. You are quick on your feet and focus on delivering effective solutions that help the team reach its goals.

What We Need

Experience: 2-3 years of professional Product/UX Design experience, with a portfolio that explicitly showcases mobile app design for iOS and Android.

Mobile Expertise: A solid understanding of mobile interaction patterns, Human Interface Guidelines, and Material Design.

Design Systems: Experience working with and adapting to established design systems. You know how to utilize existing libraries to maintain consistency while efficiently expanding on patterns to meet new product requirements.

AI Knowledge: Familiarity with current AI tools and trends within the fields of UX and UI design, and an interest in leveraging them to improve workflows or user experiences.

Tool Proficiency: High proficiency in Figma, including prototyping and maintaining organized design files.

Engineering Collaboration: Familiarity with the mobile application development lifecycle and engineering workflows is a strong plus. You should be comfortable partnering with engineers for design QA, demos, and testing to ensure build quality.

Soft Skills: Excellent communication, adaptability, and a positive attitude toward collaboration. You should be comfortable presenting your work and articulating your decisions.

Adaptability: The ability to manage ambiguity, pivot when priorities change, and maintain a high standard of work under pressure.
