We are currently seeking a Network Security Advisor to join our team in Bangalore, Karnātaka (IN-KA), India (IN).

Role OverviewWe are seeking a highly skilled Fortinet Firewall Subject Matter Expert to design, implement, optimize, and support secure network environments. This role will lead firewall architecture decisions, ensure best practices, and act as the escalation point for complex network security issues.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, deploy, and manage Fortinet firewall solutions (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer)Lead architecture and configuration of secure network environments (on-prem and cloud)Develop and maintain firewall policies, VPNs (IPSec/SSL), and segmentation strategiesPerform advanced troubleshooting for network and security incidentsOptimize firewall performance, high availability (HA), and failover configurationsConduct security assessments, audits, and compliance checksIntegrate Fortinet solutions with SIEM, endpoint security, and other toolsProvide technical leadership and mentorship to network/security teamsDocument configurations, standards, and proceduresStay current with Fortinet technologies, firmware updates, and threat landscapeRequired Qualifications 6–8+ years of experience in network security engineeringDeep expertise with Fortinet products:FortiGateFortiManagerFortiAnalyzerStrong knowledge of:TCP/IP, routing (BGP, OSPF), VLANsVPN technologies (IPSec, SSL VPN)Network segmentation and Zero Trust principlesHands-on experience with firewall policy design and optimizationExperience in high-availability and large-scale environmentsStrong troubleshooting and analytical skillsPreferred QualificationsFortinet certifications (NSE 4–8 or equivalent)Knowledge of SD-WAN (Fortinet Secure SD-WAN preferred)Familiarity with SIEM toolsExperience with compliance frameworks (ISO 27001, NIST, GDPR)Soft SkillsStrong communication and stakeholder management skillsAbility to explain complex security concepts to non-technical audiencesProactive problem-solving mindsetLeadership and mentoring capabilitiesNice-to-HaveExperience in regulated industries (finance, healthcare, etc.)Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)Scripting/automation experience (Python, Ansible, Terraform)Exposure to penetration testing
