Job Overview
The Deputy Store Manager at Reliance Retail is an executive-level full-time position, based in Bangalore Urban, Chennai, or Kozhikode. The role focuses on overseeing store operations, leading teams, and delivering outstanding customer service. Candidates should possess 1030 years of progressive experience in retail management, excelling in operational excellence and people management.
Qualifications And Skills
Proven expertise in team leadership with substantial experience in motivating, mentoring, and developing high-performing store teams.
Extensive knowledge of sales forecasting techniques to analyze trends, plan effectively, and drive profitable store growth.
Strong abilities in inventory management, including stock optimization, demand planning, and minimizing shrinkage.
In-depth experience implementing robust loss prevention strategies, audits, and compliance processes to safeguard assets.
Advanced skills in visual merchandising, ensuring store displays are creative, on-brand, and maximize customer engagement.
Demonstrated excellence in delivering customer service, building loyal customer relationships, and resolving escalated issues quickly and professionally.
Solid track record in conducting staff training programs to develop product knowledge, service standards, and operational compliance.
Comprehensive understanding of retail operations, from daily store activities to budget management and business analytics.
Required skills: team leadership, sales forecasting, inventory management, loss prevention, visual merchandising, customer service, staff training, retail operations across large-format stores.
Must have skills: effective communication, decision-making ability, strong organizational acumen, and capability to work in a fast-paced, target-driven retail environment.
Roles And Responsibilities
Oversee daily store operations to ensure exceptional performance, efficiency, and adherence to Compliance and standards.
Lead, coach, and inspire the store team to achieve and exceed sales targets, operational KPIs, and customer satisfaction goals.
Implement and monitor sales forecasting methods, analyzing data to plan staffing, inventory, and promotional activities.
Manage all aspects of inventory control, including ordering, re-stocking, auditing, and reducing stock losses through effective processes.
Develop and enforce robust loss prevention strategies to safeguard store assets, including training staff on security protocols.
Drive captivating visual merchandising strategies to enhance footfall, increase basket size, and reinforce Reliance Retails brand image.
Ensure that staff deliver exceptional service and resolve customer issues promptly, upholding the stores reputation for excellence.
Coordinate comprehensive staff training and conduct performance evaluations to nurture talent and foster continuous improvement.
Collaborate with area management and cross-functional teams to execute store-specific projects and company-wide growth initiatives.
Prepare accurate reports on store performance, provide insights, and recommend actions for ongoing improvements in all operational areas.
